Antigua has developed a remarkable finishing process—often employing 25 or more steps—to bring out the true grain and character of our exotic hardwoods. The procedure includes a cycle of hand-distressed detailing, sanding, waxing and lacquering on layer over layer of finish. The end result is a beautiful, resilient piece of furniture with a remarkable “hand”
Our finishes are offered in four varieties:
Standard - light distress, un-waxed.
Standard Waxed - light distress, waxed & hand-rubbed
Heavy Distress - heavy distress, un-waxed
Heavy Distress Waxed - heavy distress, waxed & hand-rubbed
