Central America is a land rich in exotic hardwoods, many of which are ideal for the manufacture of fine furniture.
ANTIGUA has chosen several of these indigenous species, Guanacaste, Palo Blanco and Cedro Español (Spanish Cedar) —often used as shade trees on coffee fincas of Guatemala’s southern savannahs—as the foundation for our beautiful furniture. In addition to these Central American exotics, ANTIGUA has been a pioneer in the use of recycled hardwoods such as our Rediscovered Oak which originates from old barns and farmhouses in the United States. Commitment to Sustainability
ANTIGUA FURNITURE uses only hardwoods that are grown responsibly. We are fully committed to preserving our forests and take great care in verifying the origin of our lumber. We are INAB certified and our group of companies contributes a portion of our proceeds towards reforestation projects and the protection of natural habitats & wildlife. |
