Precision Machining |
| While the art and soul of our furniture may lie in hand-crafted carving, planing and finishing, we very pragmatically begin the entire manufacturing process by precision machining each component, piece by piece. This allows us to offer the best of both worlds: extremely tight tolerances in all our case goods and the character that can only be gained through a hand-crafted assembly and finish. |

Hand-wrought Ironwork |
| Each piece of hardware attached to our furniture is unique in its own right. Hand-wrought & handforged in our small ironsmith’s shop or taller de heirro, every pull, knob and latch is created first by heating raw iron, then hammering it into shape on an anvil and finally twisting it into a finished piece of hardware. The slight variation evident in each piece of Antigua hardware is a testament to our artisanal production. Our hand -forged iron table tops, headboards and bases go through the exact same labor-intensive processes as our hardware- just on a much larger scale. The weight and substantiality of these pieces testify to the quality with which they have been produced. |
